I had a customer recently who asked if I’ve ever tried muesli. I had not even heard of it, so I did some research.
Similar to granola, muesli uses rolled oats, but rather than baked, which requires a sweetener and oil, the oats are left to soften in a dairy or nut milk before consuming.
It is a Swiss German dish that was originally formulated as an appetizer, like bread and butter. Today, it’s a common breakfast cereal outside of the US, and in Switzerland it’s still eaten as a supper.
